This listing is for a Very Rare The Fisher K-1000 Stereo 8417 Tube Power Amplifier in Very Nice Condition. This amplifier came from a Vintage Audio Collector who takes extremely good care of his collection.
The notes from the Technician and work done was: The capacitors were formated, The Bias and Balance were adjusted, The attenuators were cleaned. End comment by the Technician after everything: "SOUNDS GREAT". This amplifier has not been modified out of its original design and still uses the original 8417 tubes as the output tubes. It actually has the original Fisher branded 8417 tubes labeled The Fisher on their beige bakelite bottoms.
The cosmetics of the amplifier are very nice condition as can be seen in the pictures. One of the 4 notches that attach the tube cage to the chassis is missing. This amplifier is quite heavy. Some of the electronic part/s may continue for another 50 years without need of replacement and some electronic part/s may fail a few days after you start using the item.
